READY, SET … GO!

readysetgoWelcome to 2019, I trust you have had a great Christmas and New Year. Lot’s of football action happening around the globe at the moment, which is always brilliant. The community football season in Sydney is about to get underway with trials, training, selections, organising, meetings, scheduling, purchasing, registering, allocating … etc. There really is a lot that goes into making the season run smoothly and effectively, particularly now, before we even take the field to play our first official game.

What is going to make your 2019 season the best it can be? What is your focus going to be as a player, or coach or parent? Here’s some thoughts to consider.

A/ know your desired outcomes – When you are clear on the outcomes you want your mind shifts focus. Laser like focus. Focus on what who you want to be and the outcomes you want to achieve, not on what you don’t want. What you focus on is what you will experience more of. This could be an area of skill improvement, a team culture goal, a fresh coaching mindset etc.

B/ take massive action – all our grand ideas and dreams will simply stay dreams unless we take action. Motion creates emotion and momentum. Commit. Dedicate. What are the action steps needed to see the outcomes you desire. Who do you need to be to see that happen, and who do you need to help you?

C/ awareness – notice what’s going on. Self evaluation. “Am I getting the outcomes I desire.” Don’t get stuck in what you’re doing if your are not getting the results you want.

Imagine it is December 31st 2019, and you have had the BEST Year ever. What happened… ?

I am looking forward to another great season of football and supporting you along the way. Have a great day 🙂
