Are you changing, evolving and developing as a coach and leader?
Neurosurgeons say if they practiced the way they did 18 months ago, they’d be sued for malpractice. Heart surgeons believe if they practiced the way they did 5 years ago, they’d be sued for malpractice.
Yet, in youth sport coaching, how many of us still coach the way we were coached when we were kids. John Kessel, from USA Volleyball, believes that if this is the case, if we are the same coach we were 5, 10 or 20 years ago, that we should all be sued for malpractice because we have not evolved to keep up with what we know from research.
